One of the Netherlands’ top supermarket chains offers a wide range of ready-to-eat meals from StarCuisine, all presented in various packaging types. The leader of the pack? Halopack’s fully custom tray, combining optimal protection and stunning, sustainable design.
Their request
StarCuisine was seeking a food tray that could deliver optimal product protection and elevate their meals’ shelf presentation, without compromising on their commitment to sustainability.
They weren’t just looking for durability and great looks. They also needed a tray that used as little raw material as possible and was locally produced to help reducing waste and their carbon footprint. Last but not least, the new design had to fit their existing packaging line too.
Our approach
Halopack’s sturdy construction was the solution they needed. Our locally produced cardboard tray could secure maximal protection and minimal use of raw materials in high-quality design. But there was a catch: the new packaging had to match the exact size of the previous one to fit StarCuisine’s production line. So, we developed a completely new concept based on their specifications. After extensive sizing, measuring, and testing, we created a perfect fit for their production line.
The results
No production changes. No compromises. Just premium, eco-friendly packaging that makes their meals pop on the shelf in two different eye-catching colors. It’s a packaging win that ticks every box—and one we’re proud to deliver.
