What starts as a casual chat between friends at a children’s party quickly sparks something bigger — the birth of a bold idea. The first demo machine marks the arrival of the first-ever HALOPACK tray.

The first HALOPACK  trays roll off a full-scale production line — ready for customers and the market. Shortly after, HALOPACK opens its first production site in Hengelo (I-Pack), marking a new chapter: in-house tray production.

The company expands to a new, fully-owned site in Almelo (Bornerbroeksestraat), and welcomes its first full-time team member, Tim — who’s still a proud part of HALOPACK, more than a decade later.

HALOPACK’s mission to reshape packaging takes off internationally. Production begins in the United Kingdom, where the SK2 machine is introduced — a longer, high-output line built for the growing UK market.

HALOPACK customers are co-creators, inspiring innovations like the HALOPACK DUO.

With the launch of  SKR — a  more compact, flexible, and efficient machine — HALOPACK’s range expands with versatile new solutions, like our first OVEN, SKIN, and CLAMSHELL packaging.

From the UK to Europe: our partner network is growing fast — now joined by Germany, Lithuania, Spain, and Italy. The vision of a connected global network —the HALOPACK Galaxy — starts becoming a reality.

Innovation remains at the core of Halopack. New product developments and continuous research into film thickness* help us refine packaging performance, material use and production efficiency.

HALOPACK moves to our current HQ at Slachthuiskade, Almelo –  a facility built for the future. At the same time, our pack grows stronger with new partners in France, Australia, and Chile.

The HALOPACK Galaxy keeps expanding, powered by our worldwide community of pioneers. New production sites rise in Greece, Japan, and the United States, reaching a distribution of 19 countries worldwide.

Halopack has become a member of the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA), reinforcing our role within the carton packaging industry and supporting our ongoing efforts in packaging development, collaboration and knowledge exchange.

We are proud of what we’ve built, but we continue to look ahead. As regulations such as the PPWR reshape the packaging landscape, we remain focused on developing solutions that meet both industry requirements and customer needs.
