WHEN A CLASSIC BECOMES THE FUTURE

Sometimes, progress is almost invisible. Our H0034 began as a breakthrough in sustainable packaging and proved its value for more than a decade. Now, it evolves into its next chapter — a successor that looks familiar, yet delivers improvements where they matter most.

When the very first Halopack H0034 rolled off the production line in 2012, it marked the beginning of a new approach to sustainable food packaging. Developed for a major Asian food distributor operating in the Netherlands, this pioneering model laid the foundation for years of innovation, helping reduce plastic use while protecting food quality across countless shelves and kitchens.

But H0034 quickly became more than a single-purpose solution. It was designed as a stock tray: readily available, flexible, and ideal for smaller production runs. With four languages featured on the back, it was built for accessibility and versatility, supporting a growing and diverse customer base.

From 2018 onward, 44 unique customers have relied on this trusted design. In that same period alone, more than 15 million trays were produced — each one contributing to a more sustainable way of packaging food.

Last week, the final batch of this first-generation classic was produced. After more than a decade of service, it’s time for H0034 to retire.

But this is not the end. It’s an evolution.

At first glance, the successor may look familiar. The design remains, but the engineering behind it has moved forward. Rising from the legacy of H0034, the new H0419 carries that same DNA into the future.

The changes may seem small, but their impact is anything but.

A new technique makes the tray sturdier and more reliable throughout the supply chain. By reducing gaps between the cardboard sections, the new structure creates a tighter connection, delivering stronger seals and better food protection, without affecting recyclability.

By extending freshness and helping reduce food waste, the new generation addresses one of the most important challenges in packaging today.

Behind these improvements lies a simple idea: every gram, every detail matters. By using less material while improving performance, the new Halopack continues the journey that started in 2012,  pushing boundaries step by step.

At Halopack, our pack of pioneers continues to believe that better packaging can help build a better world. Through engineering, expertise, and creativity, we refine every detail.  Because meaningful progress often starts with changes that are almost invisible, yet make all the difference.
