REDUCING FOOTPRINTS, NOT PERFORMANCE

In 2025, Halopack reached an important sustainability milestone by bringing renewable energy closer to the heart of its operations. With hundreds of solar panels installed on the roof of our Almelo headquarters and new electric vehicle charging stations on site, we are reducing our environmental footprint while maintaining the high performance our customers rely on.

Sustainability at HALOPACK has never been just a statement. It is something we actively put into practice. As innovators in cardboard tray technology, we help producers reduce raw packaging material and extend shelf life. Both are essential contributions to a more efficient and environmentally conscious food chain. With more than one hundred ways to make packaging more sustainable, our mission has always focused on delivering meaningful and measurable impact without compromising quality.

In 2025, we strengthened that mission by transforming our own energy use. A total of 332 solar panels were installed on the roof of our Almelo headquarters, representing a strong commitment to renewable power. These panels are expected to generate 155,474 kWh of clean electricity in their first year, covering approximately 41% of our annual energy consumption. To further reduce our environmental impact, the remaining electricity demand is met through externally sourced green energy.

This combined approach significantly reduces our dependence on conventional energy sources while ensuring reliable operations. It clearly demonstrates that sustainability and performance can go hand in hand.

Our efforts extend beyond energy generation. By installing charging stations for electric vehicles at our facility, we encourage employees to choose cleaner mobility options and contribute to a more sustainable working environment.

Through renewable energy, responsible mobility, and continuous innovation in packaging, Halopack shows that sustainability can be embedded in every part of the business. It influences the products we develop, the energy we consume, and the way we operate each day, now and in the future.
